The foot is one of the body areas most exposed to diabetic complications due to the reduced availability of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), an essential element for the preservation of the intracellular heritage of reduced glutathione (GSH). In diabetes, NADPH is depleted by the conversion of excess glucose into sorbitol.

For this reason it is necessary to tackle the problems of the diabetic foot by acting preventively, i.e. by restoring the GSH through the action of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), the most powerful physiological regenerator of reduced glutathione.

Local insensitivity linked to peripheral neuropathy, microcirculation defects or extreme susceptibility to infections due to GSH deficiency, constitute the ideal substrate for the development of skin lesions which, if not considered in time, can evolve into disabling ulcers.

Thanks to the presence of N-acetylcysteine, this cream prevents the appearance of severe skin changes, even in patients with specific therapies in progress.

It also contains vitamin E, urea, ceramides, panthenol and mimosa extract thanks to which it exerts an antiseptic, softening, moisturizing, healing and soothing skin action.

INDICATIONS

Indicated as an adjuvant to prevent alterations in keratinization from endogenous or mechanical causes.

HOW TO USE

Apply the product after washing and thoroughly drying the skin. It is recommended to apply the cream 2 times a day, on the entire affected skin surface and massage gently until completely absorbed. Once the result is obtained, 1 application per day is enough. After application, wear socks and footwear as normal. In some cases, in order not to disperse the product, it is advisable to wear terry socks to favor local action (especially in the evening before going to bed).
